Re: Dimensions for Boeing 757 Overhead Panel?
Hi Jack,
757 Overhead at a 747 flyer with a 737 transponder .....
Yes you can calculate this dimensions easily yourself !
In this tutorial are the panel dimensions:
http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/cont...sel-Oosten-s-: Panel-Building-Focussed-On-Dimensions
A 757 overhead has as you know 5 colums, so the width is 5 times a panel width + 4 times some air (see pics on e.g. airliners.net or jetphotos.net).
You know alle the separate panels heigths from these photo's Ever time x times 3/8 inch per panel, so again with the directions in the tutorial the total total height can easily calculated.
In general is better to calculate the overal dimensions after investigating the sub-components from with it build up !
If you take a "general" dimension (nearly always not fully accurate), the chance is nearly 100 % that in a later stage your panels will not fit in the build outer frame !
Hope this helps,

Re: Dimensions for Boeing 757 Overhead Panel?
Thanks alot guys! I know my cockpit sounds a bit strange, (737/747/757).
Basically, I wish to start with the first column (IRS, Hydraulic Panel, etc).
That photo is of great help, and also your calculations are very much appreciated Hessel
