My Fmc With Marius Circuits Pcb
Hi all
Been doing some work on the FMC and now have one complete ready to use and the second one half finished.
The screen is a PS1 LCD, the FMC template is from hispapanels, and the PCB is from marius @ Marius Circuits.
The PCB was a good option for me as it is cost effective and takes little knowledge to get her up and running.
Check out my photo updates......

Nice Damien.....
I'm awaiting delivery of my PCB from Marius and the keyboard card from Open Cockpits. Should be here early next week.
What switches did you end up using? Did you buy from Jaycar?
Can you please advise part number for the switches.
Also how are you connecting your PS1 screen? just using the composite video?
Are you going to backlight the keys?
cheers
Paul

Gwyn,
Damien will advise you how much he spent on the cdu but I have just bought the pcb from Marius in Melbourne at Au$130 incl postage. The keyboard card from Open Cockpits works out about Au$60 incl postage.
I'm thinking of using small tactile switches from Jaycar 69 needed at $0.60each. PS1 Screen I got from ebay for $50.00.
The Hispanels cdu template is 120 Euros plus postage.
That's about it unless you want to backlight the keys which I'm thinking of doing.
I'm using PM software to drive it.
cheers

I used most of the components that Paul has.
-Hispapanals FMC panel $210AU
-Marius Circuits PCB $130AU
-69 micro switches $41 AU (They are from Jaycar. Paul i'll get back to you on part No)
-PS1 Screen i got off E-Bay for $28 AU this may vary....
-40 WAY Boxed header $3.50 AU
-Opencockpits USB-Keys card $60 AU
This all adds up to $446.50..........
Of course price will vary depending on postage and other little things, but i was very happy with the outcome of my CDU..
