Found a new parts supplier
After en extensive internet search, I found a company that produces interfacing products for TFT LCD panels.
I'm using a Sony PS1 LCD monitor to display the Sandel 3308 EFIS/HSI for my 727 build.
The problem with the PS1 hack is that the TFT cable is way too short to remotely mount the controller card. For the PS1, the TFT is mounted directly to the controller card, but it is much larger than the screen itself so it would be in the way of ajacent instrument hole cutouts.
This company, http://www.quadrangleproducts.com/pr...&Category_ID=2 supplies off-the-shelf and customized solutions for TFT LCD interfacing.
I have ordered a connector card and a 12" ribbon cable to remotely mount the TFT panel. I'll use stand-off's for the controler card and mount it behind the panel.
The connector board is $9.95 and the ribbon cab;e is $7.95.
This is a great solution for using the Sony PS1 LCD screen for instrument displays, FMC's, etc.Boeing Skunk Works
