My Plane don't follow the curve of a STAR
Hello,
I usually fly from LIML to LSGG , it's a very short and beautiful flight , between the Alps.
I'm used to approach with the Banko5 Star to rwy 5.
The Star has between the last 2 fix (Banko and FF05) a curve that is critical for approaching between mountains.
But my plane don't follow the curve, the LNAV drive my 737 directly to the last fix.
I use:
GC Build 446
FMC Build 388
A/P Build 418
FSUIPC Version 3.65
Thanks, in advance.

I've flown that approach many times into Sion. I would try hand flying the approach instead of relying on the computer to fly it right into the side of a mountain for you.
You would have to have closely spaced waypoints all the way around the procedure turn for the FMC to follow the track on the STAR.
EDITED to add: Sorry wrong airport. Thought you were talking about LSGS.Last edited by Michael Carter; 04-25-2007 at 09:14 AM. Reason: Wrong airport

Thanks for quick answer, so I must edit the Star to find some wpt between Banko and FF05? but why my ND display the magenta arc, and Vnav don' follow it?

That is something another 737 driver will have to answer.
I took a look at the BANKO5 but I didn't see the FF05 waypoint. But my charts are non-RNAV, so that may explain it.
I wouldn't really trust a computer to fly this procedure. On the non-RNAV procedure, you cross the VOR on the field and then turn to the outbound leg to the DME arc for the final approach course.
Is that the same for the RNAV procedure?Last edited by Michael Carter; 04-26-2007 at 01:17 AM. Reason: speeling
