gear lever timing
Hello folks i have the 8/8/8 and im constructing my gear lever for my 737 cockpit, after reading and trying to get the board to work im wanting the led,s to have a delayed reaction when they light up( gear up red lights come on then off, not for sure but is there a way to get the 8/8/8 to do that.
Thanks.................Robert

I use a Phidgets 0x16x16 and FS2Phidgets and this is in my *.ini file. This gives me the red and green indications that I need plus using the FS2Phidgets software you can use the sliders for the element that you are trying to modify or "delay". I have also attached a screen shot where in the FS2Phidgets program that you would select when something would start and stop thereby giving you the delay you need. This picture shows my nose gear. Hope this helps some.

Thanks
thanks for the info , i have the 8/8/8 and the 16/16.
however im not up to speed yet on its many uses.
let me ask you a question, i understand ini files but where does this come into play here, excuse me for being ignorant on that.
once i have the landing gear built and i have the swicthes and leds in place do i need to change my ini files before i program or am i confused.
thanks............Robert

The entire unit should work without modifying the ini. Try just attaching the switches and LED's and program it in fs2phid Software. See where that gets you first.

Hi Robert. A lot of what you are trying to do is built into the FS2Phidgets software. Phidget users, are there any tutorials around?

Try this web site http://www.phidgetsusa.com/fs/fs2phi...FS2Phidget.asp . It has the software and I think there is a pdf file that explains exactly how to setup the software with a landing gear example. Pay close attention to chapter six of this guide http://www.phidgetsusa.com/fs/fs2phi...FS2Phidget.pdf . After checking that out if you still have questions feel free to contact me.

I'm not using the 8/8/8 for LED's rather a 64 LED. But I have attached 3 screenshots that show how I have each configured. The trick to get the red transient lights to work is between 0 and 16383. One pic shows that. Hope it helps explain it, as a picture is worth?
