GC F6 page questions
Hi all,
is there a way to zoom in and out EACH SINGLE instrument (PFD,ND,EICAS)on F6
GC page? I can't find a solution until now.
I also set StandByOnPFDND=On on pfd.ini so i have standby gauges displayed on
F6 page but i can't resize and move them. Is it possible to do it or must
i run another GC to show only the standby gauges?
Thanks in advance for the answer

Re: GC F6 page questions
Hi Fabrizio,
Make sure you don't have the display locked. Right-click on each display and
you should see a green circle. You can now move the instrument by dragging
with the mouse (right button I think). You can size it by use of the + and -
keys on theNumPad.
You can only move the Standby gauges on the F10 page. Same principle as
above but I don't think the green circle is visible for each gauge. You
cannot move the artificial horizon gauge at the top without the others
moving too so adjust the others relative to the top one then move that one.
They should keep their positions when you switch to F6. All this is possible
with a single instance of PFD running.
Hope that helps.

Re: GC F6 page questions
Hi Ray,
in F6 page, using + and - make all the instruments (PFD,ND,EICAS) zooming in
or out together, no matter if i keep right-clicking on one.
About standby gauges, i can position them on F10 page but the problem is
about resizing: i can zoom in and out them in F10 page but then, in F6 page
they show alwais the same size (too big, even if in right position). So i can
move them but not resizing.
I use the last GC version of course
Any help
Thanks again

Re: GC F6 page questions
Hi Fabrizio,
Try holding down the CTRL key and left-click the PFD. A green circle then
appears meaning that gauge is selected and you can then resize it with +
and - keys. The drop-down box allows you to select another gauge and you can
then resize that one.
On the F10 page you need to keep the standby instruments over to the left
edge. They should then reappear on the F6 page in the same position and same
size.
A picture always helps. Here's how I have my setup and I'm also using the
latest beta releases. I don't have anything connected hence the strange
configuration of the instruments.
Cheers,

Re: GC F6 page questions
Hi Ray,
it's really strange, even if after i select one instrument in the drop-down
box, they keep to be all linked together.
Can you please send me your pfd.ini file ? Maybe there is some wrong
configuration line in mine.
I'm using the last GC437f version.
Thank you again

Re: GC F6 page questions
Hi Fabrizio,
Here it is. Remember that you shouldn't maximise the window. If you do then
the standby instruments do look far too large and the other instruments are
too small. Just drag the corners of the window to fill the screen and if you
don't want to see the title bar press W. You should then be able to resize
each instrument.
Cheers.

Re: GC F6 page questions
Hi Ray,
thank you for the file of course.
It seems to be a version problem.
I tried to reinstll the GC software (the installer is an old 430 build), i
then used your pfd.ini and all works fine.
If i upgrade the pfd.exe and pfd.dll to the 436 or 437f builds, some
instruments are missing or linked together, in few words all the problems i told
you before.
If i back to old exe and dll (430) everything is ok.
I really can't understand
How can i do?

Re: GC F6 page questions
Hi Fabrizio,
This is strange because I'm using 437f of the PFD issued on 14 April. I just
replaced the EXE and DLL with the latest versions. I wonder if reinstalling
has caused the problem.
Can you upload a picture of how things look and maybe I can assist.
Cheers.

Re: GC F6 page questions
Hi Ray,
here are the pictures with 430 build (the one working good), and the one with
437f build (not working).
As you can see, no instruments displayed except for stanby ones. The pfd.ini
is yours.

Re: GC F6 page questions
Hi Fabrizio,
The first picture looks like you have two instances of the PFD running. Is
that how it really looks? If they're meant to be two separate images that
you've merged into one could you separate them so I can see them more
clearly.
The second image of your standby instruments shows them to be far too large
as the flaps gauge is overlaid on the ASI. You need to reduce the size of
each standby gauge on the F10 page and then they will display properly on
the F6 page. Try about 2/3 of the current size.
It's difficult to analyse your setup because the pictures are so confusing.
Cheers.
