Dual Concentric Encoder Source?
Hello,
I am getting ready to start building my radios ( Nav, Comm, etc) and am looking to see if anybody has a source to purchase Dual concentric encoders, and the knobs that would fit them?
I currently have a encoder with a push button function and realize that I could get this to work as well, but I would like to use a Dual encoder, if possible.
Thanks for any advise,
Polmer

Hi Polmer,
You could try making your own by following these instructions:
http://www.opencockpits.com/modules....showpage&pid=9
Depends on your interface hardware whether it will work however.

Wow,
the dual concentric encoders are not cheap.......... $40 - 80 per encoder.
These of course are high quality optical type encoder, but are a little more than I am ready to spend on my already "Schizophrenic cockpit". I keep changing my mind on what I should build.....737, 767, or turbo prop ( ATR 72-500).
I think I will live with to gray type encoders for now or try to build one as Kennair has suggested .
Thanks guys.

I'm beginning to think GoFlight should put me on the payroll since I keep recomending them !
They have Dual Rotorary Encoders for 29.95 each, prewired.

Simparts.de
I got a set from simparts.de, they do the large and small covers for them too.
Happy hunting!
