Futre Functionality within RJ/BJ?
Hi all,
I'm almost a virgin PM user having recently purchases RJ/BJ
While I have had one or two issues, I would like to say am very impressed
with the the glass cockpit - it just makes IFR so much easier.
I would be grateful if you could indulge me by answering some, no doubt,
naive questions.
I notice there are some elements no the EICAS which are not used.
Specifically related to pressurisation and APU, and I also notice there seems to be a
reserved area for what could be EICAS messages. Can these be activated with
the assition of pmSystems, or is that strictly aimed at the Airbus/Boeing
audience?
I have noticed there is reference made to aircraft data files - I have yet to
look into that, but would an aircraft definition file (I fly Eaglesoft's
C750) allow flap angles to appear on the EICAS?
Finally, I make extensive use of Goflight equipment, but would like to get
into building my own overhead panel. Being an electronics moron, I am
concerned it may be beyond me. Can anyone recommend a help site for beginners like
me? I'd like the concept of pmSystems but would not want avoid going back
to a keyboard and mouse to interface to it!
All the best
Regards
Rick Buresh

They will be activated via pmSystems, so far no work in that direction has
been done.

Yes, each flight model can have different settings for the flaps and these
can be defined in our aircraft configuration files.

I am such a moron as well, and a "beginner site" would be great to have.

Well, pmSystems handles the logics and it *can* also be used as an interface
without the hardware.
Ciao
