Classic Weather Radar (Experiment)
Since I want to keep this build authentic, I have been putting together a "classic" RAF weather radar. My idea is to place the CS weather radar on a 5" or 7" screen, make it black and white, then place a sheet of transparent orange plexiglass over the screen to give it that RAF Wxr look.
Here are some photos of the Wxr in its current state. I have tried to give it kind of a worn out look. There is one button missing, but I will replace it later:

Re: Classic Weather Radar (Experiment)
The maximum range of the base reflectivity product is 143 miles (230 km) from the radar location. This image will not show echoes that are more distant than 143 miles, even though precipitation may be occurring at these greater distances. To determine if precipitation is occurring at greater distances, link to an adjacent radar.
