YOU ARE CLEARED FOR TAKE OFF...GOOD DAY!
Hello fellow sims...I am brother martin and I enjoy the "get away effect" of sim flying!! I do have one question, and that is: Which flight sim is the best? I have FSX and xplane9. My processor is a Intel Core2 Quad CPU--- Q8300 @ 2.50 GHz, 4 cores and 4 processors. I have 6 gig physical memory, 8 gig virtual. My vid card is a Nvidia GTS 450. The reason I ask this is because FSX runs fine, yet xPlane9 requires me to lower my rendering..arg...

Re: YOU ARE CLEARED FOR TAKE OFF...GOOD DAY!
I think you answered your own question. I would go with the one that works best.
I think perhaps the bigger question is though. What is the aircraft you fly or love the most? If the answer lies in a FSX model or Xplane model then that also tells you what you need to know. That said both have there strong points and their weakness's. Essentially though both will do very well what you want them to do.
Hope that helps and welcome on board.

Thanks Ron for the quick response to my question!
I don't have what you call a "favorite" airplane...it's an adventure to try to fly them all...but I tend to lean toward the military aircraft.

Thanks, Reid for your reply and your welcoming me to the forums. I do hope to one day building my own cockpit. Right it is made of one 20 inch monitor, and an old Saitek "Cyborg evo"....one can at least wish...it would be neat to have an area on this site to buy or sell equipment...

There is a classified section at the top. Most items there are in Europe usually, but worth a look. eBay will also be your friend.
