Width of 727 engineer's console?
Does anyone know how wide this is or a site that references it's dimension? I have found plenty of photos but no measurements.
Many thanks.

I sure don't. You might ask this seller to measure his. A nice one on ebay.

Thanks,
Does anybody have a good photo with a straight on view of this thing. I could probably scale it in TurboCad and get a rough idea.

Measured from real thing within a couple of mm or so:
Outside frame = 30.625"/778mm
Inside Frame = 29.125"/739mm
Frame Thickness = 19mm
General arrangement of console lower panel is 5 panels/bays @5.75" with a slightly larger gap between bays 4 and 5 as viewed from the front.
You may also find these useful:
Mounting frame depth = 3.75"
Outward bend between lower/upper panels occurs at 48.5" from floor level
Overhang (light unit) = 3.5"
Bottom of table = 650mm from floor level (ffl)
Top of table = 750mm ffl
Table depth appx = 13.5" (L) to 9" (R)
Lowest panel bottom frame is appx 760mm from floor level.
Top frame mounting area height = 19"
Hope this helps

Wow, thanks.
I really appreciate that. I think I will be able to CAD up the whole thing with that info. Best of all, the shell I am building is quite close.
Many thanks.

This might help, it's from a set of CAD Drawings i have accumulated over the years. It's from a DC 10, nevertheless might help you out.
Kind Regards

Re: Width of 727 engineer's console?
Hi Rob,
could you also measure the highth of the SO's panel (i.e. from floor to top of lighting ?). Of course one could probalby calculate it using the table highth, but...
I would be more than happy if you were able to get those measures....
Thanks,
