Monitor display.
Hello, i had one question about the monitor display's. I was wondering if it was possible to take off the outer frame around a basic lcd comp monitor? If so would anyone know the things to look out for? I would preffer to do this to save the space behind the MIP. just so i could blot it somhow directly flush to the back of the MIP.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Tino.

The plastic bezels/casing all come off a little differently. I've heard that you have to be careful if the power inverter and DVI/VGA interface card are exposed (Higher voltages or something I guess). Most LCD monitors though have this encased in some sort of metal enclosure.

Yes, you can remove them from the enclosures. BUT, you will need to make sure they are carefully insulated from other metal objects or they will short out and possibly send an electrical arc flying in your direction.

Ok i will give that a try then. Ill try to enclose it so that there are to other objects near it.
Thanks for your help!
