    Learjet to PC -12

    Hi Guys

Well I'm back again after much thinking what aircraft I really want to build.
I initially started off with the Learjet 45 in mind, but I decided on the PC-12.
It is a great aircraft, and so is the learjet 45 but I choose the PC-12 because it is very versatile. You can practically land the PC-12 anywhere.
The learjet will always have a place in my heart, but for now I'm a pilatus guy.. Ok so I decided to start off with the shell, I have not started construction as yet, but I'm in the planning stages now. After searching the net I finally got hold of PC-12 Radio controlled aircraft plans which is very helpful to get the basic layout of the ribs ect. I finished a cardboard model as a prototype which looks great which in the long run will save me alot of money and a great learning experience.I'm going to buy some wood this weekend and start cutting the ribs hopefully I'll have some pictures up for you guys. Will try to post some pics of the Cardboard Prototype.
Ken (The pilatus guy) has been a real inspiration to me and showed me it could be done with with inexpensive parts.

Thanks to all the people here at mycockpit for being very helpful. This is a great site.

    Thanks

    Ralton

No harm done leaving the idea of building a L45 and switching to the PC12- that's a grand airplane any day of the year!

    Good luck with it all!

    Hi Ralton,

Glad to hear you've made a decision and you won't be disappointed with the PC12. I will be very interested to see how you build the shell as this is on my list and I could use some inspiration with it.

Good luck and keep in touch.

    Learjet to PC -12

Hi Guys thanks for the replies.

Ken I found some excellent RC PC-12 plans on the net. The guy that designed the plans is a real PC-12 pilot. The plans are very straight forward.
I had to change them a bit so they could work in a simulator setup.

I will post pics as soon as I have something. The cardboard version I made sits on my desk, and really inspires me to finnish the shell.

I will try to contact the author of those plans and see if can upload them here.

Once again thanks for the replies.

    Thanks Ralton,

I've got those RC plans. Found them during one of my many net scouring sessions. He's an RFDS pilot in Adelaide I believe. Does some nice CAD work too and you'll find some great pics of his real world missions on his Blog site.
