New Products
I have an opportunity to provide the following items at a very reasonable price.
GPS with 5 inch screen
4 inches x 7.25 inches
Weather Radar with 5 inch screen
4 inches x 7.25 inches
Both will be a very simple interface to FS9 or FSX. I do not see any problems getting either of them to work.
How many of you are interested in these items? Please respond if you would purchase one.

Hi Andy, not that I'm interested... but I thought if you have pictures it would help with a sale

Would be interested in seeing the GPS, and although I am not going to be in a position to buy for sometime, I would also be interested in costs so I can save?

Matt,
An excellent idea, but I'm working on the prototypes now so I don't have pictures of completed units.
This thread is to guage the level of interest there is in these two products so I can have a better idea of how to proceed. Its going to be a limited run as it is. I'm only building 24 units. 12 of each. Estimated cost will be about $500 USD for each unit.

Is software included?
If so, which.
If not, what could be used?

It works directly with FS9 or FSX. It also works with FSUIPC.
Direct key assignment thru FSUIPC.
Video connection will be either VGA, S-Video, or Motorola jacks. I'm still figuring out which is easier.
Buttons and rotary will be USB.

Hi Andy,
I'm still unsure by what you mean.
Are you referring to un-docking the default FS9/FSX GNS 500 for use with your hardware?
What about the weather radar. I don't recall default weather radar in FS9 or FSX. Are you using AOG?

There isn't any.
Some select payware aircraft like the DF 727 have the Reality XP radar installed. It can, of course be purchased separately.
Here's an interesting question:
I'm trying to do what Gwyn has done and keep this sim on one system at least for the time being.
Is it possible to use both video outs as I'm doing now, plus, the S-video out for the small radar display? I realize that if this is possible that one or the other displays will be probably be duplicated.
If I choose the main panel display and move it to the small monitor, should I be able to open the radar and then drag the corners to fill the small screen?
Did that make any sense?Boeing Skunk Works

You undock the screen and move it to the smaller monitor for the GPS. The weather radar is designed around Reality XP's software.
BSW,
This becomes an additional monitor as far as Windows is concerned. Yes it makes sense and yes, thats how it works.
