Welcome and yes it is a sickness! You have come to the right place. We will help you down the road of destruction! And pictures we love pictures! Start by getting some of your desktop set up. Trust me you will want them down the street.

Asid, you have come to the right place! Building a C172 is awesome and should be very easy with a little bit of money, a lot of patience, and tons of time!
The good thing is that there are many alternatives to building a GA cockpit and the variations are almost endless to how you can set it up. Do you want to build an older-style 172 with all analogue gauges, or the newer style with the Garmin G1000 avionics? Either way, you are all set!

Hi Asid,
You have chosen a great plane to get started with in your cockpit building.
There are a few of us here building Cessna's or other small GA planes. Ask away.
First step, Go through the photo gallery and get some ideas.God's in command, I'm just the Pilot.

There are a few sites that provide a lot of background for cockpit building. You can find links to them here: http://www.mikesflightdeck.com/getting_started.htm
You can also find links to C-172 projects here: http://www.mikesflightdeck.com/simpit_links.htm . It's about halfway down the page.
And of course, there is a huge amount of help here at MyCockpit for the asking.
Welcome to the hobby.
