OpenCockpits IOCards PCB Holders for 7-Segment LED Displays
I know that this is a trifle in comparison to how much true cockpit builders spend but I'm a novice OpenCockpit builder which means I'm trying to save every penny ....
I have 2x spare 3-digit PCB holders and 2x spare 5-digit PCB holders for the OpenCockpits 7-segment LED displays. Cost from OC is ~USD$20. But if you're in US or Canada and you're just missing 1 or 2 PCBs, the shipping for 1 tiny little PCB is ~$16. Yikes!
USD$17 for all 4 PCBs shipped by letter mail to US/Canada. PM me if interested.

Hello wanderer,
though I could not buy these parts, because I live in Germany, but I would like to know if you maybe built a set of radios from opencockpits. Because I am considering to buy a whole set with OC Mastercard, USB Expansion, Displaycards and Radio Panels.
The only thing I cannot value is how difficult is it and where one can find precise descriptions.
Maybe you can give some Informations?
Greetings
Norbert

Norbert,
Although I haven't yet purchased the OC radio's, I do plan too in the near future as they are the best value around IMO. You'll save around $150 USD on each radio as compared to what you can buy elsewhere, the only drawback being that you have to put it all together yourself and provide your own backlighting. Just depends how handy you are.
For some instructions on panel assembly have a look HERE. As for the electronic part of it, you can follow the instructions you'll find on the OC website. It's all pretty basic but that depends on your level of electronic assembly expertise.
Ken.
