Microsoft ESP to be released JAN08
A very interesting article on Microsoft's commercial version of FS and development tools.
Worth a read. That WX radar hardware may be closer than I thought.

Now thats what I've been looking forward to. FS as a multi environment simulator that can handle not only flight, but underwater, on the water, on land, underground... Imagine you Load out your plane and fly to a strip somewhere and on the way you have to interact with other aircraft, landcraft, ships and subs as well as ground based combat units... The whole 9 yards. This sounds like FS15 to me, but the way they are promoting in this article, it could be much much sooner.

Actually I work with some business associates and we are currently seeking a partnership with various avionics companys for a project that we have had on the table for a little under 2 years for real world use and we spoke with MS about some software issues. They mentioned a long time ago that there was a possibility of a commercial version coming out (to us, in private) and now it's amazing to see this coming to light!
