Microsoft ESP to be released JAN08
A very interesting article on Microsoft's commercial version of FS and development tools.
Worth a read. That WX radar hardware may be closer than I thought.

Now thats what I've been looking forward to. FS as a multi environment simulator that can handle not only flight, but underwater, on the water, on land, underground... Imagine you Load out your plane and fly to a strip somewhere and on the way you have to interact with other aircraft, landcraft, ships and subs as well as ground based combat units... The whole 9 yards. This sounds like FS15 to me, but the way they are promoting in this article, it could be much much sooner.
Now I'm droolin...God's in command, I'm just the Pilot.

Actually I work with some business associates and we are currently seeking a partnership with various avionics companys for a project that we have had on the table for a little under 2 years for real world use and we spoke with MS about some software issues. They mentioned a long time ago that there was a possibility of a commercial version coming out (to us, in private) and now it's amazing to see this coming to light!
