    A few shots from Innsbruck

Flying the downwind at 9500MSL towards RTT NDB. LOWI is way down in that valley in the background

    Another angle:

Heading 210 from RTT getting ready to intercept the LOC for the ride down the ditch.

And how was the landing with the "three-holer" and 58% fuel on board ?
The runway is only 2000 meters ... and the Inn river just behind

Not a problem for the 727. The short field capabilities of the 727 are nothing short of amazing. Admittedly, fuel planning was skipped for these test flights I'm doing trying to get the simulator set up with the new computer, but the aircraft handled just fine, if a bit dumpy on final.

The wing area on the 727 nearly doubles as flaps approach 40 degrees.

You should see a take-off at 25 flaps.

Made the left turn-off each time with room to spare.

I thought this was the gallery forum. ???
