Latching toggle switches
Hi all, does anybody know where I can buy the latching toggle switches for use as Airbus fuel switches? I can't find any in Oz.
Cheers, Gwyn

Hey Gwyn,
I am trying to understand what your after. I can get switches (without the caps) like GSEY showed you for 4 bucks each from the local Radio Shack/Source. It is a standard Toggle Switch "ON OFF" What do you mean by making it latching though? I can't believe you can't get these in OZ?
Can ya help me understand a bit. I would be more then happy to post you a couple. Wouldn't take me long to get em to ya.

A latching or locking toggle means you have to pull the switch up before you can move it. It is a safety feature and is different from a standard toggle switch.

NKK Switches (www.nkkswitches.com) makes locking toggles. For example see the last page in this short form catalog http://www.nkkswitches.com/pdf/stogglesmedcap.pdf
These are commercial duty rather than aviation types so are "moderately" affordable. In the US, Digikey sells them for US$11~15 a piece depending on the model.
NKK lists Arrow Electronics and Future Electronics as distributors in Australia.
