FMC... where to start ? many options...
Hello Everybody,
Well, I have been browsing through many many websites about an FMC for B737NG. Before anything, let me explain that I plan to use it in 2 stages: 1, with PMDG (while I build the home cockpit) and at a later stage with PM, when the cockpit starts to take shape.
I have seen many options around. Of course I fell in love with FlyEngravity´s option, which is plug and play for both PMDG and PM, but for me here in Brasil it is extremelly expensive (the 900 euros will cost me actually almost 2000 euros with freight and taxes... x2... 4000 euros, impractible!).
I have no problem to manufacture the pcb here in Brasil, quite cheap and fast, plus I have the plans and drawings for it. Also, the other cards (USB,IO) are available... and I can buy the case and LCD via OpenCockpits.
But my HUGE doubt is in regards to software and programing! I know very little about it. I will be able to assemble, no problem. But is that plug and play? Do I need specific software to make it work? Any tutorials on how to put it to work after assembled ???
And finally, any other suggestions in regards to the FMC???
Regards,
Rafael

Hi all,
I agree that its too much money, I have just just brought a FMC and EFIS from OpenCocktits the FMC cost 356 Euro and the Efis Cost 149 Euro and with Postal Cost to Australia all together 573 Euro and it took 12 days to reach
me, the programs to run PMDG 737 and Level D 767can be dowloaded at www. OpenCockpits.com for no cost.
