    Hi
the message, F/CTL DIRECT LAW (PROT LOST),can mean several things.

According to fcom the system affected comes underlined, also when you lost protection you are in alternate law or direct law (when you lower the landing gear) and both are caused by a double failure.

Since flight controls seems affectd It might be, either
Hydraulics , both green and yellow systems not presurized and PTU in off position,
    or
Flight computer FACs, SECs and ELACs off.

Make sure you complete the "All white lights" .. extingish in the overhead panel, which means to turn ON everything that is already OFF.

    best regards

    Adonis

    You are welcome,

Aww something I forgot, the autoland button lights when you are reaching minimun in cat II approach and you disconnect autopilot very close to the authorized minimum altitude or when plane degrades the CAT Three dual capability...

    Adrian,

The recommended method for FDS boards is with my jeeheell_IIT module (which actually uses interfaceIT). If you really wish to use any other means, you have to make sure your implementation is correct. You'll have to check the OVHD software to see if you have any HYD or other systems OFF.

the TOGA mode does not arm the autothrust, ATHR is active from FLEX/MCT to IDLE so you need to move your levers to climb or mct to get ATHR active.

also can you please clarify when you mention " - prior to Vrotate managed mode is configured (speed, heading and altitude). I am in climb mode. " if you are in heading you should be in OPEN climb mode instead of climb mode. Managed modes are engaged when lateral navigation is complete and tehere are not discontinuities, or you have heading in green and Nav in blue.

Hi Adonis, I found an excellent video (and he has many other excellent videos on his channel) to go with your explanation. Thank you.

    Bouncing airplane bug?

Fuel in the center tank is empty - aircraft bounces immediately on injection of new fuel and weight balance. I can't trim because the aircraft keeps on bouncing and resetting the trim wheel value.
Again using TOPCAT to export the weight and balance --

    Re: A320 FMGS B31

Very good, those are the ones we sign on plane before leaving !

Now dependeing on conditions you have the v1, Vr and v2 speeds, also the flex mct value in celsius degrees. The performance charts vary depending on airfield elevation, runway lenght, field temperature, qnh and tower reported wind.

Attached please find a standard runways analisys chart from Airbus for a 489 ft elevation 3000 meters runway.

To get speeds, firts locate weight on left column, then check your flap settings, Conf 1 or 2, finally match it with runway wind.

example: tow weight 64 tons, flaps 2 and 10 kts tailwind

    Speeds v1 / vr / v2

    142 / 143 / 145. Flex 56

now you know what to write in the perfomance take off page

    Re: A320 FMGS B31

    Hi OmniAtlas,

Which version P3D do you use? V2?
I do not use Topcat. I always do my loading through FSX/P3D (V1.4) menus. I never had the aircraft bounce for more than a couple seconds?
