Re: Planning to build a Tu-154
Hello Qwseyvnd, I am Badbill65 from Glasgow in UK, the building of a TU154 would be a very interesting project indeed as a matter of fact im currently in RIGA Latvia working for AirBaltic on Q400 and to let you know there is a cockpit section full of origonal instruments and equipment in the little aircraft museum just out side the main terminal, maybe you could contact them with a view to some form of trade for parts,'just a little thought if you where looking for origonal parts'.

Re: Planning to build a Tu-154
Hello Qwseyvnd!
In my opinion this simulator is too difficult to maked.
I was on summer students exchange in Kiev Polytechnic Institute (UA). They have a full realistic Tu-154 simulator. It's a big (taking two halls), complicated machine with many indicators, switches and mechanical systems.
Just look at this pictures:
First room it is a control room with computer (very, very old ;P)
This is a back side of computer
And last photo taked inside:
Conclusion:
So, if you really want to build this simulator, you must prepare for many mechanical problems. You know that: Tu-154 is a old machine without advanced computer systems. Almost everything are a expanded logical mechanism.
Now I am building cessna 172 simulator and i have many problems with parts to my simulator. I think you will have the same problem with Tu-154 parts.
but
In my country people say's:
If is a risk, is a fun (Or something like that) :P
I'm really sorry for my language mistakes
Take care and good luck!

Re: Planning to build a Tu-154
I don't said that it's impossible to make a home-made simulator of Tu-154. In my opinion if Qwseyvnd doesn't has expierience with building simulators, he could has a problems with electronics, mechanics etc.
