Image warping
Hello all !!
I have a question for you.
I navigated in the forum but i didn't find what i'm looking for.
I search a free software (or not expansive one) for image warping and configuration for projection on a curved screen (180°, 6m diameter).
If ound one but: 3000$ ...
What are your solutions for those type of systems ?
Today i participated of a visual setup with geometric part (EP1000 Rockwell & Collins) ... very impressive !!
Thank you for your Help

Your best bet is probably Sol7. They have special pricing for Home Sim builders.

The next best is a Matrox TripleHead 2 Go device.
After that comes any 'Horizontal Stretch' your video card supports.
There is no freeware that does what you want. Not yet anyway.

bb speedbird,
Paul Bourke works with image warping and has an interesting website. If free or low cost real time warping software exists, he may have a link to it on his site.

If you think sol7 is expensive, well good luck... The folks who developed sol7 for us and gave us quite a break in price.
Perhaps you looked at the professional version price.... that would be shocking. If you've got more then one projector set up and am warping... contact sol7 folks about their beta program.

Hi!
Here is link to our national home cockpit builder site. There you will find glider simulator visual. Site is in Finnish but don't hesitate to ask if you don't understand something.

It is not exactly what you are looking for but it is economical solution. No need for Matrox THTG, just good graphics card and two projector are needed.
Videos are worth checking!
Best regards

Timo, thanks for sharing!
I think I may give this a whirl! I just use my two outputs from my 9800GTX to the two seperate projectors in what mode?

Timo,
I can see that you are using FSX. I have been inspired to try this Horizontal Span view and discovered that it wont run like that (at least for me and another user here at MC.org) in Full Screen.
Can you say if you found a way, or is it running windowed but positioned to where you cannot see the window's frame?
Thanks!
