FSXpand over a network
I set up FSXpand from www.flyware.nl to run over a wireless network, but I'm getting significant pauses making it unusable. Has anyone here had any success running FSXPand over wireless? Or does anyone know if I can have a wired network and still access a wireless network for internet access form the same machine?
Thanks in advance
Jet fighter / single pilot sim, plus thinking of a 777 as a secondary sim.

One thing you could do is buy a network bridge. It is a device that has ethernet ports on it so you can hardwire devices into it, and it has some antenas on it, allowing it to connect to a wireless router.

I use FSXpand on a 100Mbit switched, wired network.
If you look at the FSXpand forum, Gert just replied about a similar problem and he basically says that network setup is important.... and that stuff like wireless is NOT optimal for fast reliable data transfer. He also warns against netrworks that have other activities happening,....... like your kids surfing the net.
I find the stuff works GREAT.... but it is network setup sensitive...... AND it just about requires you assign fixed IPs for the machines.
