    Lightbulb AttitudeIndicator from scratch!

While I'm waiting for equipment to continue the compass, I decided to finish the Attitude indicator that has been partly initiated and partly on drawings. Here is the result. Yeah I could not resist the temptation to brag a little! Hope someone can find ideas in this project.
I started with an aluminum ball, but it was too heavy for the servo, so the project ended with acrylic plastic. Some have probably already guessed, that I love this product

I think I've got the names commonly used on different parts right! ( If not, bear with me! )
Here I am molding a piece from an acrylic sheet.
    This will be the ”Sphere”.

”Sphere” done. The ”Reference Horizon” is made the same way.

    ”Sphere” and ”Reference Horizon”.

And here with the servo mounted.

    Bearing, shaft and bearing holder.

    Mounted on baseplate.

The servo on the baseplate for rotating the “Sphere”.

    ”Sphere” and ”Reference Horizon” painted.

    The baseplate and sides.

Topplate and rollindex plate with Aircraft symbol.

    Rollpointer monted on sphere.

Aircraft symbol and Rollpointer with Instrumentglass (acrylic)

And with a shaky hand painted scale
Life was hard, but then came Windows 7.
    Now we can fly! --------

There are so many temptations that comes because of this program, in terms of things that can be built, that there are almost no time to fly!

Yup, I haven't decided which is my hobby - flightsimming or coding/design. I also haven't decided whether to curse him... or thank him. I suppose I'll go with the latter.

No ,, No ,, hang on Guys ,,, I wasn't referring to my software at all ,, although thanks for the kind words.

What I was throwing in was, you,(Buzzi) have got to be real proud of your achievement of building that and sharing the history of it's build.

It wouldn't have been too long ago that building something like that was only a thought ,,, well now it's for real.

Well done Buzzi ,,, really nice unit.

We await the next mission on your plate.

Now back to it ,,, Jim
