    Lekseecon 9.8 Crash w/ USBKeys on First Press - Windows 7 x64

    I am just beginning to use OC cards and have first hooked up my homemade 767 FMC via the OC USBKeys Card.

    I have found that about half of the time, after my first button press on FMC, Lekseecon crashes. I then manually restart Lekseecon, and all works well from then on.

    I do have a master IO card running, but just have a single Analog input and digital output running right now.

    This is on Windows 7 SP1 x64 running FSX w/ Acceleration.

    Has anyone seen something similar?

    I will post the crash info when I am back at home later tonight.

    Hi Dave,
    In 6 years I've only had one report of a lekseecon crash... so i'm really interested
    Please don't forget to post your lekseecon.log of the crash (in folder my documents), your sioc.ini and your SIOC script (txt file)

    Thanks for posting this information.

    I've tried hard but I'm not able to reproduce the crash you have reported. I have made exactly the same setup as yours , but "no luck".

    The only help I can offer are a few cosmetic fixes. They should not solve the problem, although one never knows...:

    This sioc.ini file will do for your application. You do not need FSUIPC, you do not need the Keyboard Module, you do not need Monitoring and both IOCPClient modules should be set to disabled.

    Then in your FMC SIOC script: change
    Code:
    IF L0 != 0

    into
    Code:
    IF L0 <> 0
    The SIOC compiler unfortunately does not emit an error message, but the != operator is obsolete. If you check that in debugging mode you will notice that the outcome is always TRUE, even if L0=0, so you miss this optimisation. Use the <> operator instead.

    Another small thing that worries me is that you are running FSX with Acceleration. Flight1 recommends, if using Level-D 767, not to run FSX with acceleration, check the Level-D Forum about the preferred way of installing the 767. Although again, I do not see the relationship with the lekseecon crash...

    Reinstall leksecon 9.8, maybe something went wrong when you installed my software (although very unlikely).

    If these cosmetic fixes does not help your problem, I can send you a lekseecon version with debugging info on board, so we can go a little bit deeper into this problem.

    Thanks for the investigation. I know the SIOC was a bit messy, but I have been working heavily on the physical cockpit and have not yet put much attention to the software. I do really appreciate the cleanup suggestions and syntax fix.

    Very interesting to hear about Level-D w/ FSX Acceleration. I will read up on that as I was not at all aware.

    I will make the changes and keep you posted. Happy to do any debugging runs for you as well.

    I can confirm I am suffering from the same problem as well (using the FMC).

    Initially I didn't report this because, like Dave, I thought it was my crap coding that was causing problems and that I'd sort it out later.

    Well well, two crash reports in one day...what's happening?

    @Jack and @Dave: Here is a lekseecon.exe with debug info, just download, unzip and overwrite your lekseecon.exe (after you have saved your lekseecon.exe). Create a crash and post the lekseecon.log file.
