    Installed Lekseencon V7.0 No Level-D SIOC Vars Defined in your CONFIG_File.

    After finally getting multiple files to compile, I thought I would take the time to upgrade to Lekseecon V7.0.

    I am running the Lekseecon on the same system as SIOC, so I shouldn't have a .ini file to configure.

    I start SIOC and everything looks good ( my panel lights up and it is ready to go). Then , when I start Lekseecon I get a error that says "No Level-D SIOC Vars Defined in your CONFIG_File."

    When I upgraded to Version 7, I cant get Lekseecon to communicate with SIOC?

    SIOC is reading a file named MCP767.ssi, what line or referance Im I missing in the Config_file?

    Here is my Lekseecon log file:

    Prog: lekseecon version 7.0
    Path: HAL: C:\lekseecon
    OS: Microsoft Windows XP Home

    C:\Program Files\IOCards\SIOC\sioc.inifound.
    Looking up hostaddress of HAL, type:AF_INET, length:4, ip:192.168.0.103
    HOSTADDRESS=192.168.0.103
    PORT=8090
    CONFIG_FILE=C:\Program Files\IOCards\SIOC\Mcp767.ssi

    Error 7: No Level-D SIOC Vars defined in your CONFIG_FILE.

    lekseecon stopped.

    I would have a look in the Manual, section Error messages at page 11; there you may find help:

    "Level-D SIOC vars are numbered from 1 to 999 and must have attribute Static"

    I guess you have missed the last part. This has changed already a long time ago, in order to support multiple files. It is only a mattter of adding the word Static at each line where you declare a Level-D SIOC variable. For examples see http://www.lekseecon.nl/howto767.html.

    regards,
    Nico
    P.S. Please do not post at this top level, but post in the Lekseecon Q&A and Discussions subforum. I'll move this thread.

    Static Variables.......Yes, I remember seeing some of your example code with static variables used, but didnt really know why itwas written that way for.

    This makes sense, I tried to run some "old" code that had previously worked and I know it doesn't use static variables.

    Thanks supplying your 767 code along with the Lekseecon 7.0, this will help in re-building process.

    Thanks for your guidance,

    Nico,

    tried to load up your caution/warning code (with static variables), when I launch SIOC I now get a error;

    access violation at address 4778CO8 in module sioc.

    When I load up other code, no issues??
    I am running SIOC version 3.5. Is this sioc not compatible with static variables?

    No, like you can read at the front page of my Manual ...
    You have to use SIOC 3.7 beta 1: download from this page
