On another note, Canadian Marshall McLuhan's "Global Village" hypotheses (1968 ) actually predicted this electronic communication outcome.

I never knew that the web was actually so old, and goes back to technology in the cold war!

What an annoying patronising rubbish video this is.
The slide saying "15 sites by 1971" has two faceless man holding "WWW" letters while the video itself mentions that WWW has been introduced only in 1990. In those days Internet (ARPANET, BitNET, etc) nodes have never been called "sites" but rather "hosts" or "nodes", etc.

Web doesn't but Internet does. eMail, ftp, telnet is not the Web. Http is.
By the way even IBM PC AT is 6 years older than WWW. Those 6 years were probably the most productive in the history of personal computing
