Airbus Ideas for cheap & realistic airbus interface?

    Hello,

I'm very new here so first of all, HELLO EVERYBODY.

Ok, so me & my father are going to start building the a320.
We, well i don't think we know what we're up to, are going
to make it into as detailed as the measurements, more or
less the same knobs, and enclosed cockpit (closed area).

Before we even start the hardware stuff, we are going to
configure our sim and systems. We thought of FS2004,
because we flew with it for the longest time.
We also have bought alot of nice scenery packages so
we really prefer that. We had also considered buying a
copy of x-plane but we hadn't found any good scenery
for it after we bought it. (maybe you can help us there too)

So in FS9, we used to fly Wilco, airsimmer (throwed it away -> bugs)
But now it's time for realistic systems.
Project magenta is way too awefully expensive for our budget.
I considered VasFMC to be our navigation software in fs9.
It provides a neat fmc in my opinion.

Now, we don't have any systems that drive overhead, ECAM & engine displays.
Aswell as engine on & off. (I'd like to use some custom sounds there)

Does anybody know what I should consider using?
Your advice is much appreciated guys! thanks in advance.

Well, when i read the title, i thought, those things just dont go together But in terms of software, i would personally choose Jeehellware, very good, freeware A320 based software, includes FBW, All the Navigation and overhead stuff, everything! There is a dedicated support forum in here, if you look lower down in the long list FS2004 is a good base sim, i still use it for all of my work, as it is stable (For microsoft sims anyway!) and has lots of software and tweaks etc to get it looking as if it was released the other day! Good luck with your project, i look forward to hearing more!

Thank you, I will check it out soon.
Btw, can you combine this with VasFMC or atleast tweak it in that way?
    thanks for the reply

Honestly, i wouldnt see the need for putting VASFmc in there, as it contains all of the CDU and navigation bits and bobs in it

Re: Ideas for cheap & realistic airbus interface?

    Hi,

no as Jordan said, it's not possible to combine both VASFMC and my software, as they wouldn't have the ability to communicate with each other.
Both software are designed to display data that is NOT computed by FS, and so we both developed our ways to get around this limitation, leading to a "closed" software. Yet someone with excellent knowledge in C++ could use VASFMC sources if I one day decide to make the source go open (which is not likely to happen for the moment, as I never had the need expressed by anyone)

If you decide to use/try my software don't hesitate to ask for help in the forum or by mail if you encounter troubles!

    Cheers,

    JL

    Hello JC Jeehell!

I have tried your software & it's amazing!
Of course I will use your software for my cockpit now.
I'm having some minor problems with the FCU & the dots not coming
up in-flight but I still am to check that out, probably won't have to post
anything and solve it on my own. In any way I'll defenitely post
something up your forum if I got more problems or can't solve this one.

    Kind regards from depth
