Unhappy need help with loading fsx in windows 7

got a new computer that os is windows 7. have been trying to install fsx for 2 days now and no luck. followed instructions from may sites to no avail. thought maybe someone in this group could help me. microsoft keeps saying windows 7 is compatible. what the instulation does is first disk loads about half way and the says error-1350 not able to load a dll file. says to check to make sure file is on the disk and can be accessed. which it is on the disk but for some reason the installer will not read it.

    thanks walter <><

Re: need help with loading fsx in windows 7

    Hi Walter,

Have you tried running the FSX installation as an Administrator? It could be an access rights issue in Windows. Right click the setup.exe on the disc and select "Run as Administrator". Also has that FSX disc installed on your previous system ok or is it a new one? If its new it could be corrupted, if its not then try the Admin selection. I've loaded FSX on several Win7 systems while trialling the Release Candidates and Beta version, and most recently loaded it again on a factory release version, all without issue.

    Ken.
