    RAF Cosford show 2009

Last weekend i was at Cosford RC show. All in all it was a great day, never visiting Cosford before i took time to visit the museum and it was great. Realy enjoyed the variety of aircraft on show. Including my 2 personal aircraft favourites from the Falklands, the legendary Vulcan and Victor from Avro. Lovelly aircraft, and great to see when both together. I do have some pictures and will add them soon when i get my camera charged.

The RC show on the runway was also excellent although very sadly later into the afternoon the show had to come to an early end due to the worsening weather conditions and hence safety reasons. So i was unable to get many photos there. Amoungst the show was the lancaster, an easyjet 737, a hercules US coastguard and many others. Those were the largest aircraft at nearly 2 metres wide.

Grabbed some bargains from the stalls and headed home after a great day.

Pictures to follow soon - i must recomment Cosford for anyone who hasn't visited before. The museum is free on non event days. The UK sim builders bunch took a trip down there last year and as i hear they enjoyed as much as i did.

    Hi Geremy,

We never made the Cosford trip

I was going to go to Waddington and decided against it when I heard the Vulcan was grounded and the rest of the line up looked rather average, then I was contemplating Cosford but realised I was already going elsewhere - would be great to see the photo's.

    Cheers
    Mike

    Part Two..

Has anyone seen one of the aircraft in the last photo in part two! I couldn't help but laughing at that weedy propelor which obviously, surely, isn't going to get that off the ground. It was about the equivalent of putting an office fan on the back of a 747.

I read up about the aircraft an infact it is rocket propelled for extra propulsion

That propeller is the fan to keep the pilot cool while being launched into flight by a giant rubber band!!!

    Smashin Gez!

    Cheers for the pics!
