USB and joysticks and windows drivers
I have a problem in my 'pit and I was wondering if anyone could help....
I have a FDS Elite panels based pit, AST software, and use the iFDG A320 FS model, so at the moment, I have no pitch holding and have to use manual trim setting, which is very unrealistic with a sidestick!
I am trying to use the EasyFBW programme for my basic pitch holding needs, in my Airbus A320.
On my FS PC, I have found that EasyFBW will not recognise my Logitech Attack 3 joystick.
As an experiment I tried EasyFBW and the Logitech Joystick on a different PC and found thay EasyFBW worked fine with it on that PC.
The difference was that, on the 2nd PC, when I plugged the Joystick in, I got the "Windows Install New Hardware" box, and the drivers were automatically installed. Following this 'install', EasyFBW was able to see the joystick amd worked fine.
But...... on the FS PC, when I plug the joystick in, I do not get the "Windows Install New Hardware" box - It just plugs in and works as normal with FS! (but not EasyFBW).
So I guess my question is, on my FS PC, how can I "uninstall" the automatic drivers for the joystick, so that when I plug it in, I get the "Install new hardware" box, and hopefully the joystick will then work with EasyFBW.
Any clues ?
Thanks in advanceDavid R

Have you tried deleting it in your devicemanager ?
Might be in the list as a HID device.

I have had weird faults of this kind with my logitech stuff.
On their website ..........
there is reference to a clear calibration utility that will clear all gaming devices from the registry , which is what it sounds like you are in need of (LWS_CLRC.EXE).
Hope this fixes the problem
Ooops....... the link on that page does not point to any thing usefull..... BUT i have found it elsewhere.
Good thing i checked , i decided to get that utility again for myself in case i need it in the future ( it's here somewhere but it may take time to track down amongst all my downloads)
