    Smile New Toy

    Thanks for the support guys

Besides spending time getting ready for my sim, I flew my new toy for the first time today

Is that an extra 260? I didn't know you were into rc planes. I sold several to get my pilot's license, The cessna 310, 35% extra 330LX, 33% Extra 230, 1/4 scal Citabria, and a trainer for my son.

Yes, Hanger 9, Extra 260, 27 scale. I'm new to the hobby, LOVE IT!!!! Do you still fly, and any planes left in your inventory?

I sold all mine to help finance the real deal. I doubt i will fly RC anymore as flying the real plane is much more fun. Now if i hit the lottery, i'll fly it all! LOL

I flew RC for a very short time in the early eighties. I decided if I was going to crash I'd rather be in the real aircraft.

I sold my first Great Planes trainer after about six months. I couldn't bear to think about all of that work lost in a split second of stupidness or carelessness.

I got my private certificate about two years later.

That's a great looking plane Matt. I envy those guys who build and can fly them. I can't get used to that crossed control business when it's coming at you or an angle similar.

I used to be a pretty good RC pilot and now having flown the real deal i can tell you first hand that the old saying is TRUE! It is easier to fly a real one than to fly an RC airplane!

I just wish the cessna 172 i fly would roll like the Sukoi did that i used to fly! LOL

    Matt,
Forgot to ask, do you fly there in front of your house? Looks like you got plenty of room?

I have thought about putting a runway on my property but then it would add to my already huge upkeep around here.
