    New Boeing Breitling Clock

Well...not exactly. I couldn't part with upwards of $350 for an instument that tells time when I have an Omega on my wrist. But, I did manage to capture the essence of the Breitling supplied Boeing 24Hr clock for my MIP.

Sorry for the photo quality. It's a camera phone shot. Pay no attention to the reflections, the acrylic lens is crystal clear.

The bezel was fabricated from PVC II which is very easy to machine without shattering, cracking, or otherwise destroying itself at the mere sight of a drill bit.

The clock is a cheap quartz AA operated unit I saw a t a retail store and thought I could use after thinking a bit.

I haven't mounted it yet to the bezel, but I'm going to fabricate clamps to hold it to the bezel. It's just sitting in the instrument hole when this was taken.

The instrument face will be changed to that of a 12 Hr clock. Especially since mine doesn't have so many hands on it, and I'm going to fabircate new pointers and discard the metal hands.

And...what made this possible, my birthday present! A new Craftsman Drill Press!

Another shot of the final version. I changed the face to a 12 hr format and added new hands.

Well, it might be awhile before i'm flying with the MIP. I have everything else up and running, but this part will take the longest to build.

This is only the first instrument and it really doesn't do anything except tell me how far behind I am on everything!
