Airbus is underlining its leadership in cabin innovation at this year’s Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg and is exhibiting in hall 7, stand no. B20. Based on the trend for more efficient cabins in the low-cost market and more luxurious cabins in the ultra-long-range market, Airbus will present a new seating concept for the Airbus A320 Family and a mock-up of the long-range Airbus A340 cabin, which is renowned worldwide for its outstanding levels of comfort and innovation.

Thanks to a wider aisle, wider seats and full-size service doors, the A320 Family offers the most efficient cabin for low-cost carriers by allowing quicker turnaround times for this highly demanding market. To further enhance the cabin performance, Airbus will show a new seat concept, which is designed like a theatre seat and can be folded up when not in use. This concept enables passengers to move directly into the seat row to stow their hand luggage in the overhead stowages without blocking the aisle. Passengers behind them can pass without delay, meaning improved boarding and disembarking times.

Airbus will also show the popular long-range cabin technology demonstrator of its A330/A340 Family, for which new innovations have been introduced with airlines all around the world such as Emirates, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines or Virgin Atlantic Airways.
The A330/A340 cabin technology demonstrator is also equipped with Tenzing, the inflight-email system, which is part of Airbus’ In-Flight Information Services (AFIS). Visitors will thus have the chance to experience the most efficient on-board connectivity system available on the market.

Airbus A380 customers will have the possibility to explore the new A380 cabin highlights in a virtual reality mock-up. The 3D vision system gives a view to the new cabin and highlights of the A380 cabin design
