GAIFR response time lagging behind FS9 after 10min

    Hi
Like quite a few others I have this recurring problem of GAIFR lagging
    behind FS9 after 5-10 min.
I have been reading all NewsGroup topics on this kind of issue (that goes as
    far back as 2004).
Although there were many recommendations and suggestions, I have never seen
any practical soIutions for resolution of the bug. Never the less, I applied
    most of those recommendations.

    - All sorts of network checking & tunning such as fixing 100MB FullDuplex
    instead of Auto
    - Installed updtPatch to 9.1
    - Removed all 3thd parties DLLs from Modules
    - Installed latest version of WideFS (6.51) and FSUIPC (3.53)
    - In fact did a complete reinstall from sratch of FS9
    - Reduced the target FPS to 30

    Still same issue.
However, I found that when the lag shows up after 8-10min, I can get rid of
it by going into FS9 : Options/Setting/Display-Hardware and reducing
slightly the Target Frame Rate by just a few( ex. from 30 to 28 FPS). I can then
return again and bring it back to 30 and GAIFR will go fine for 10 more
    minutes.
Obviously not the ideal approach in the course of action but it could help in
    analysing the issue.

Meanwhile,I feel that I am running out of options…

    Any suggestions ?

    Config
    - FS9.1
    - WIN XP HomeEdition SP2
    - ASUS AMD 2.1Ghz + 1G RAM
    - ATI AIW X800 graphic card
    - Two monitors (one is Giant screen HDTV)
    - NIC NVIDIA nForce

Thanks for your upcoming help !

I have read what you did, it simply seems that something is buffering the
data somewhere, and quite a lot of it. 10 minutes means you accelerate, take

off, climb to 2000 turn right and your IFR panel is still sitting on the
ground? (and that's a lot of data to buffer).

What kind of computer is the GAIFR software running on, and did you check
the network settings there? Once the 10 minutes are over and things are
moving in the GAIFR, are they smooth?

If I observed anything like that here, I would do the following test:

    - lower framerate to 20 and see what difference it makes
    - make sure FSUIPC and WideFS versions are the newest ones and not
    mismatched (really the ones running)
    - disable some of the graphics options to check whether they are handled by

the computer rather than the graphics card

    Ciao

    Enrico

Oh, and did you check the WideServer and WideClient logs?
