    Ques about Phidget IC

Can you guys be more of clear on Phidget card's type 8/8/8 and 0/16/16? I am not even sure which card would be best bet for me to get one that can control toggle. momentary, pushbutton or etc switch for overhead... would 8/8/8 card limits up to 8 switches? how about 0/16/16 would it be used for switch?? let me know

    Thanks
    Arthur

Okay Now I understand more about 0/16/16, and more likely interested to buy one of those... I understand I could add up to 8 switches into input part of 0/16/16 and another 8 LEDS, LAMP, and etc at other side of input part of . Now I wonder what do I get to add output? Switch and LED, LAMP and etc too but opposite from input? I assume I could do that, by attaching +5v into wherever it says on board and attach rest of 0 v as state (On/OFF) am I getting a correct picture here? if not help me out a little

    Arthur,

Not sure I fully understand your question.
A particular input does not control any output.
    They are seperate components.

Each component on the board (16 inputs and 16 outputs) is controlled by a program (software) running on a PC (via USB cable)

    Regards,
    Alan.

    Alan,

I do know I need software to control the Phidget card, as matter of fact I already wrote myself a VB software to control my Phidget AutoThrottle card.
The question is, if 0/16/16 Input can be used for switch and Lamp/LEDS, what can be used on output ?? would that be switch? Lamp/Led too?

    Arthur,

    Switch is usually always input.

Lamps and LEDs are usually always output.

    Regards,
    Alan.
