    Sound assigning issue

I currently fly the PMDG700 and I found out that to get the "spoiler wind sound" when flying I have to jump to the PMDG panel mode and then hit "w' to remove it and then the spoiler sound and the PARKBRAKE alarm will work.
And when I do.. my AUTOBRAKE becomes disabled and wont work untill I reset the aircraft in FS.i
After I reset the aircraft...I no longer get the sounds that is offered..but my AUTOBRAKES are working again.
I tried assigning the sound to my SPOILER lever which is connected to the Phidgets 8/8/8 board. Is this option only good for True/False VALUES? Does this sound file have to be put into a special folder?
    What are my options?

    PM software
    4 PC's networked

    Regards
    James

    James,

    Not familiar with PMDG.
Let me try and summarize rather long posting.
Tell me if I have mis-stated.
You are having trouble with PMDG spoiler sound and you want to try and get it to work using FS2Phidget.

Currently, sounds in Fs2Phidget are only triggered by a change in an ON-OFF state.
Does sound have to be in special folder?
Try it and see what happens.
Should not take longer than few secs to establish this.

    Alan.

    Alan,
I was able to experience my first dive in St.Thomas..what a blast!

Just for a reference...can I assume the sounds appointed to a particular event can be located anywhere on the PC or would it be more efficient to have it located just inside of the Phidgets folder under its own folder.?

    Regards
    james

    James,

Any folder. Should not make any difference from an application persepctive.
May make difference with regard to your own personal organizational preferences and how you have you have folders set up across your disk(s).

    Alan.
