    How to dim LED with LED64?

    Hi,

    first thanks to Alan for his mail! I will get it to work ... but how can I tell the LED64 card to light the LED only 25% . We need this in the overheadpanel of the 737NG.

    Thanks
    Jan

    Thanks Alan,

    is it controlled by PM System or do I have to connect the LED to an additional new port?

    Version 2.1 is available for download.

    First make copy of your FS2Phidget folder.

    The calibration screen now has a slider that will allow you to interactively set brightness.

    The usual sliders to set the Illumination range, based on FS Value, are still present.

    Near bottom of calibration screen there is "Dim Range..." button.

    Pressing this button presents you with a screen that enables you to specify a Dim Range within the Illumination range.
    You can set the Brightness interactively for the Dim Range.

    There is another new feature that enables you to set digital output based on RATE at which FS Value is changing.
    There are 2 new check-boxes on the main screen for this.

    Try this:
    Assign a digital output with an LED attached to TRIM_CONTROL.
    Then check the RATE (Positive) box.
    When you move FS Trim Control in one or the other direction the digital output LED should illuminate.
    When FS Trim Control is not moving LED will extinguish.
    Now, check the RATE (Negative) box.
    When you move the FS Trim Control in the opposite direction the LED illuminates.

    Regards,
    Alan.

    Hi Alan,

    is it possible to set the brightness to an annuncicator offset:

    FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION - FUEL CROSSFEED VALVE
    General
    The fuel crossfeed valve switch controls the crossfeed valve. When you move the switch to the open or closed position, 28v dc power goes through a switch assembly to the actuator. The actuator then moves the crossfeed valve to the applicable position.
    The printed circuit card assembly controls the operation of the crossfeed valve open light. The printed circuit assembly receives fuel crossfeed valve position and fuel crossfeed valve switch position information.
    When the fuel crossfeed valve is closed, the crossfeed valve open light is off (zero volts). When the fuel crossfeed valve position and fuel crossfeed valve switch position disagree, the crossfeed valve open light is on bright (twenty eight volts). When the fuel crossfeed valve is open, the crossfeed valve open light is on dim (sixteen volts).

    OFF 0 vdc CROSSFEED VALVE IS CLOSED
    DIM 16vdc CROSSFEED VALVE IS OPEN
    BRIGHT 24vdc CROSSFEED VALVE IS IN TRANSIT
    OR VALVE AND SWITCH DISAGREE

    you sample was an axis (trim).

    Thanks
    Jan

    [FuelCrossFeed]
    Offset=56B2
    Length=2
    FSType=Bitmap
    Bit=0

    [CrossFeedOpen]

    Did you try it ?

    Had a look at pmSystems.
    Crossfeed switch and Valve annunciator both share the same bitmapped offset.
    A Bit can be in TWO states only.
    On or OFF.
    Don't know how we are are going to squeeze 3 states from binary value ?

    Yes, you are correct Alan.

    The offset is there, Enrico just needs to let us know what it is. Or at least add it.
