    Re: About TCAS in GC

    So,

if FsInn handles TCAS in a different way than Squawkbox, is it possible to
ignore it and PM's GC "read" traffic data direct from FS?

Or it works like that? I think the result of traffic data is always FS, so
    from
    there all should read.

    Thanks

    Re: About TCAS in GC

    Hi Eddie,
yesterday, after I installed FSInn new, I made some Test-Onlineflys:
    - in FS2004 (View) I could see all other Pilots
    - in ND NO TCAS (GC-latest)
    - in ND NO TCAS (pmRJ-latest)
    - in QuickMap NO TCAS
    - in FSInn-Radar TCAS OK
same result with AiBridge ON or OFF !!??

    IVAO-Online-Fly (IVAP)
    - all is working well.

    FSInn removed and SquawkBox installed.
    - all is working well.

I think somethink is missing or blocking the AiTraffic for FS-Gauges, so you
can see (View) but not see in gauges (FS).

    Best Regards
    Thomas Richter

    RE: About TCAS in GC

From Fsinn site, the reply :

"The only FSUIPC TCAS table write tool we provide is Aibridge. It is
    maybe
autostarted if activated in the FSFDTCP.

Any add on based on MS SDK (TrafficInfo.dll) don´t need AIBridge."

So do we need AiBridge with PM's s/w ?
Enrico, is it ND Tcas based on trafficInfo.dll ?

    thanks

    Eddie

It is based on FSUIPC offsets.. it simply appears that some
information is not written (e.g. speed of the AI aircraft)

    About TCAS in GC

    Hi Enrico,

In fact, what do we make to receive information from the TCAS.
Is it a special manipulation (in FSUIPC ?)we must make to activate the TCAS
    on the ND ?
    Many thanks for your answer

    Best Regards

    Marco

None on your end, all you need to do is switch on the TCAS
on our end and if the data is correct, i.e. like the default
FS data, then it will show.

Every new version of AI data generators does this at the
beginning, I think they are just leaving out some data that
    is needed.

It looks like there are problems with other software as
well.. see the TCAS thread in Peter Dowson's forum...

    RE: About TCAS in GC

    Hi,

I get another reply in Fsinn forum, this may help a little what we need
    or
where to look to fix the problem :

"As I said, we are not using any FSUIPC for our softwares. And you have
problems with FSUIPC based softwares. As a service only for FSUIPC
    softwares
users (thanks to José), we deliver AIBridge with FSInn, to get the
    FSUIPC
TCAS tables feeded. So it is clear, that you need AIBridge.

I can´t give you advise for WideFS, because I don´t use and need it.
    Sb3 is
different, because it uses FSUIPC. How ever you do it, you need to feed
FSUIPC/WideFS with TCAS data from multiplayers, to get Project Magenta
    to
    show it.

I suggest, to contact Peter Dowson or Project Magenta for support"

So as I can understand the problem is not in Fsinn but somewhere else.
Somewhere in the route from Fsinn via Aibridge, Fsuipc, FS, Widefs to
    PmND
Maybe a part of information is lost in the route.
Do I need to post it in Peter's forum ?

    Eddie

Peter is away until the end of this month.

AIBridge used to work, if I remember correctly, and there
were initial problems because not all data was being
    written.

Basic problem, FSInn is not using FSUIPC... thus it needs
AIBridge to generate the tables. Problem seems to be
AIBridge either doesn't generate or doesn't get the values
needed to fill in the traffic tables as FS does it.

There is not really much I can do on my end as all I do is
receive and display. and for the proper operation I need
speed, altitude, heading on top of position data, so
something in this whole construct is not generating that
    information.

Additional problems, the programmer of FSInn doesn't care
about FSUIPC (which would remove the problem with AIBridge)
and I haven't been flying online in years, and even if I did
I wouldn't be able to get data that isn't provided.

    Ciao

    Enrico
