    Problems with Axis Calibration

    Hi JL, all,

I am having problems with the axis calibration within FMGS Config.

    1. problem: whenever I calibrate the Dimmer for WXR/TerrND, the previously made entry for the PFD dimmer gets lost. It just vanishes out of the entry field. I then tried, configuring the WXR axis first, then the PFD. But in this case despite saving everything, the WXR configuration is lost. When I reopen the config window, the field is empty.

    2. problem: how to use the calibration window for spoilers?? I use a singel analogue axis including the arm function. So the "arm" box is ticked. I then set values for full after(66534) and full forward (0). Finally I set the value, where the arm area begins (9000). But when moving the axis into the Armed position, nothing happens. I got it working in the past, but have to reconfigure and just do not understand the usability at this point.

    Thanks for your help!

    Michael

ok, could figure out Problem #2: setting the full forward value not at the end of the axis but at the beginning of the arming zone.

But still have problems with the WXR dimmer configuration? Am I the only one with this problem? Anybody?

The weather saving in the dialogue box is a known bug. The settings are saved, but everytime you open it again it does not show the saved settings.

Make sure your pot is not reversed as well, otherwise the weather will show up blank.

    Re: Problems with Axis Calibration

need to come back again on the Spoiler Axis Calibration. It used to work, but since a couple of flights the Spoilers Armed function is not working anymore. When I move into the armed position before take off, there is still the blue message "SPLRS.... ARM"

Can please someone explain for dummys, how to set up this axis within the FMGS Config window? I just don't get it...

    Thanks,
    Michael

ok, again one step further.... it seems, that not the configuration in FMGS is the problem, but my potentiometer is not properly read out in windows.

Everytime I start the PC, the config in Windows changes > the min and max values for the axis are slightly changed. So from time to time it does not recognise, when I move the lever into the Armed postion.

Anybody experience with that kind of problem? Is it a poor potentiometer? Don't believe, it's a mechanical thing. The gear that connects the lever to the potentiometer ist working stabil
