My Computer says "Download not possible".
Any idea what could have gone wrong?

Hi Fritz,
It sounds like an fu..ing Antivirus issue. Since Version B47.x i got every time when i like to install FMGS or initiate the starter.exe a something similar problem. Avira Antvir thinks these files has got a malware and push it in to the quarantine and that although I have already exempted the files from the scan. I try it also with another Antivirusprogramm but there´s the same fail. After a reinstall from Antivir i can push it to the "Ignorlist" and it works. Don´t know why. :/ Maybe try to download and install after disable your Antivir-Programm.

thanks for your comment.
I had/have the same issue with starter.exe.
Although it is mentioned in the exception list, Avira notifies me about its potential risk.
I finally managed to download the version B48.exe and will install the file on my three
comouters soon.
Thanks for all the recommendations, I will for sure try them and see if I can get rid of the
starter.exe nuisance.

after installing B48.1 I don´t get any connection of EWD, SD, PFD, ND via network, only the MCDUs show up connected in the server window. The displays remain black. Going back to B48.0 everything is working normally.

About Antivirus / firewall issues, please check Installation Guide, chapter 5.1 and 5.2.
These are known issues for Starter.exe, Updater.exe, but also for EIS.exe and even the installer itself.

Note that widefmgs.exe also might be "silently" blocked ou deleted ; that could be a resaon why PFD / ND or others remain black...


The best way is to configure Avast, Avira, Norton or others to allow the use of these applications.

i think the first page still links to 48.0 which is why there are download issues.
