    Or Migben, Bigmen?

BTW I faced "our" item yesterday while descending. Instead of coming down to IDLE in order to hold 250 kts N1 stayed at 40% so the Airbus continued to accelerate.

Perhaps JL can comment? I was able to slow down to approach speed the last flight by using operator speed controlled. I think somehow it is linked up to VNAV and ignoring the descent mode.

In other news --- P3D 3.2 has been released and includes a built in 'failure' OS --

SimOperator, a native Instructor Operating Station (IOS), enabling real-time scenario creation and modification. Instructors can now control the simulation in real-time by freezing users, introducing failures, and much more.

Same here! No problem to slow down the aircraft after deactivating ATHR and using the throttles instead.

ATHR in speed mode is sensitive to speed variations, maybe a bit too sensitive, I'd need to check.
In approach phase, it IS tuned to be more sensitive anyway (faster reaction in case of negative windshear).

    Re: A320 FMGS B44

    Hi all,

is someone using a buttkicker simulation kit, too. I have an issue , that the kit stops working when passing around FL100/110 , it just starts again when on final again, but it differs when stopping and starting during the flight not a given flight level every time. On ground the kit works perfect. Does the sound files change when in different flight levels and may the file not support the frequencies for the buttkicker?

Thank you for a short feedback.

    Best regards
    Stefan

Have you tried OPUS Stefan? It works specifically with the buttkicker.

    Hi Omni

OPUS is a weather engine right?

Yes, but there is also a buttkicker component so the response of the tactile transducer is linked to FSX/P3D and not just to the sound.

    Re: A320 FMGS B44

I would stick with ASN for weather -- most software and cockpit building software use it to generate the precipitation on their ND. Perhaps JL will be doing the same?

OPUS has a Buttkicker tool but I have never used it. Perhaps someone can try it out and provide some feedback.

Question -- are you all using the Buttkicker gamer 2? Mine fried (the amplifier) 3-4 times. I promised never to use it again...might consider another product or the higher end BK.
