this is my first ever flight sim panel building using fsx and arduino mega and i was wondering if anyone here could possibly point me in the right direction to find out where i can get codes/sketches to build a 737-200 overhead panel and maybe in the future build the autopilot and mcp stuff

Re: another newbie needing help with codes

If you're using Tinmouse as your software, then this guy's script might be of help, as there is currently no other way to read the values for the lights/annunciators. It's an Arduino sketch that reads the pixel color of a user specified set of coordinates, which can be used to drive an LED. Since you mentioned that you like to use Arduino, I thought this might be of help.

Glad you're a fan of classic tubeliners like I am.

nope not the tinmouse...i am using the milviz 737-200 and i wanna try to start an overhead panel build, it doesnt have to be arduino, its just what i have laying around at the moment to utilize...would it allow the use of switches rather than just leds

You might have a better time with the Tinmouse, as it is easier on frames (which is VERY important for cockpit building) and more realistic anyway.

Re: another newbie needing help with codes

I got 40FPS before building my cockpit, now I only have 15 FPS and need to add another PC. Trust me, all the things you need to run takes a toll on your system.

If you get really good FPS in the Milviz, you'll get even better FPS in the Tinmouse, which also has a 2d panel, making it much easier to work with for cockpit building.

Remember that visual detail isn't so important when you're in a cockpit and can't even see the aircraft.
