hi JL,
installed the very last update this evening as well...but even if the error about navdata never showed up again...both mcdus show XXXX at navdata...today for a couple of times during my startups/shutdown for various testing reasons the correct navdata cycle appeared loaded and displaied on mcdu...but mostly i'm getting XXXX.
i tried launching FMGS before FS (p3d 1.4) but when i do this i cannot succeed starting the APU: don't ask me why!!??!!
with previous versions i always started p3d first then fmgs.

In navdata folder on FMGS server you have a log file called logNDB.txt, I need to see what's in it.

Since last update through the updater I now cannot access the naddata trough the ND on the Client PC (MCDU is on the the server PC, the datas are accessed with strange behaviour i.e. LFPG/LFML = 2935 NM !!). Here is the log (there seems to be a simconnect issue) :

Edit : seems to be ok now as the fmgsnavdb was also executed on the client PC. When I stopped it, and restart the service on the server pc, it works again.

Hi all,

VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR ALL:
It is necessary the first time after installation to run the FMGS software FIRST BEFORE FS9/X/P3D, and wait for a couple minutes before running FS.


This is because FS protects some files (even for read only access).

thanks for the advice JL!
just made a fresh installation, checked the scenery.cfg path and corrected it...launched fmgs and now it seems to have built all the databases (also the fs one which was missing before).
checked on client navdata folder but both navdata 1& 2 were empty: do we have to manually copy the .dat in those folder? on the client pc where NDs run.

when powering AC buses and mcdus come alive they show on both active navdata db XXXX
...what could i be missing?

The clients do not need the navdata, only the navdb.dll file.
After building the database, did you stop and start everything again, starting with FS?

not restarted everything
after restarting everything ALL was ok and made my first test flight with the skakarki hardware
but i started fmgs first...next time i'll try starting p3d first and see if everything is fine.
