    SIMKITS to FSX setup

Hi all, I've been helping finish up an A4 Skyhawk cockpit simulator out he re in SoCal and just found your site. Have any of you installed Simkits gauges in a Windows 7 (32bit) environment? I have the computer built and all switches and gauges are reporting to windows or the Simkits calibration software (shout out to Leo Budner, maker of the coolest USB interface ever). However, when I launch FSX (Deluxe w/ Accelerator pack) the Simkits gauges are not responding at all. TRCUSBFsLink21.zip has been installed, and the SIMKITS software page seems to say that is all I need. Is there anyone here that might have a boot / load procedure for these gauges?
    Total gratitude,
    Duffey Wolvin

    Hi!

Check you are connecting all your gauges to USB2 ports, not to USB3!

Did you calibrate all your instruments before use? Make sure you are running the correct driver as there are two sets of gauges from Simkits right now - "TRC gauges" and "USB gauges" which each have one separate driver exe application which you have to start when FS is ready to fly.

Make some screenshots, write exact gauges names and let me know if it works for you.

Arg! I forgot to write back... You are right, I was only installing one of the drivers, and the other thing I seem to have been doing wrong was not giving enough time for the gauges to finish their internal calibration (or function check) before starting FSX or flying. Once I did those and installed the Virtavia A4 (props, guys!) the sim is functioning great. I'm going to record some flights as soon as I can get ahold of a GoPro.
