    Exclamation Generic Analog Gauges

    Hello everyone,

As I announced earlier, here is a gauge set aimed at propeller aircraft (single or twin piston/turbine).
It's customizable in a few ways, check the readme file.
Tell me what you think, here it is: GenericGaugesV2.1.zip

    See ya,

I used to enjoy a gauge called something like Fuel stat, which gave fuel burned, fuel left, distance to go, time to go ,etc, very handy for flight planning.
If you could do something like that, usable on a network.(outside of FS computer).would be great!

It sounds feasible but, is it on an analog gauge ort rather a 7 segments display on which you can shuffle the data to show? I can't picture the gauge?

    Gauge file attached

This is it. Actually just the top rectangular screen would be enough so that we could place it behind a panel cutout.
The buttons could be mouse sensitive and interfaced with the new FSUIPC "keymouse" option.
    They read:
Fuel flow __ Remaining ___ Used___ Time avail ___ distance to go

(The last two being average based on instant fuel flow, very useful when adjusting power in cruise for efficiency)

Yellow digits would be better. Turning red when low fuel.

    Just an idea???

    Re: Generic Analog Gauges

    Hello,

I've just added the fuel Stat gauge Jackpilot described.
It uses an FSUIPC offset to shuffle between modes, otherwise works just like JackPilot description!

    The link: GenericGaugesV2.1.zip

    Enjoy

    Re: Generic Analog Gauges

    Hi all, Hi Jeehell,

first of all thanks for sharing your software with the community. You must know many people appreciate this.
However, (just probably me), yesterday I put the generic instruments on one of my PCs
The window with all buttons opened and I selected two or three instruments. The windows opened and out came some garbled display. The I selected the checkbox with 'masked'. Closed the program and opened it again. Now the instruments showed up nicely. Then I opened up some more and resized. Also I changed the antialiasing to 4x I think. I could not find eng2 info so I read the readme and I had to change the config.ini. So I closed, modified the config.ini for 2 engines and started up again. But now I only got the sides of the windows and an error with read violation on atiglxx.dll. Then I closed the program via the taskbar. Started it again, same problem. Closed again via taskbar. Started it again and clicked the OK button to remove the error box but it reappeared. The suddenly some ticks in the audio of the PC, and the famous windows blue screen. I restarted my PC. All ok, then I removed some file with windows.cfg that your program had created and tried to start it again but the window with the buttons to open up the instruments dissapeared as soon as I started the program....weird....

    Re: Generic Analog Gauges

    Hello,

    That for sure is weird

Try deleting everything then re unzipping the zip.
What OS are you using? XP, vista, 32 or 64 bits? might be a clue.
What video card? if it's an old one it might not support anti aliasing.

    Re: Generic Analog Gauges

    Hi jeehell

It was on a Pentium 3Ghz, about 4 years old and geforce4 graphic card, a medion PC.
The OS is windows XP service pack 2
So I guess this is not that old. I might give it a try again. That an error appears I dont fear...
but that windows blue screen with indication of corrupt interrupt table worried me.

    Greetz Peter

PS : i'll give it a try again with v2
