    Re: A320 FMGS beta 29

    Hi to all
When new version starts it announces all sounds one by one (glide slope-pull up-terrain etc) and crashes my FDS driver. Here it is:

    Attachment 7736 (x many times)

    Thanks JL for this version

    Hi Leonidas,

I just installed the new version. I can not confirm your issue with the sounds during startup. Maybe you need to check your input variables. The GPWS korry has been added! When this input is given the Aircraft will "talk" as you described. Thats the real deal an part of the GPWS test. Maybe just an idea for your issue and worth a look?

Jeehell, I have not tested much of 29 yet BUT so far VERY NICE!!!! Love the new flap gauge.
Same for the guy who done all the new sound work! AWESOME!

only thing I noticed so far (after 10 min in the air) and some trying... I cant turn off the GRD SPOILER. Can somebody else please have a look at that and confirm? I use a latching switch.

    SWEET!!!

    Regards,
    Rob

Hi Rob. Could this happen even before starting batteries (cold and dark state)? Besides, after announcing every message it stops!

    Re: A320 FMGS beta 29

Leonidas: Hm? Weird. Sorry, it was just an idea to help to solve your announing issue.

@ JL, well meanwhile I've done my second quick flight. Again, my first impression of b29 is really nice! Thank you
    Here are my first findings.

confirmed - GRD SPL cant be deactivated

#1 - the Autothurst goes crazy when try to keep constant speed (seems to be a big fluctuation between idle and full/pretty high thrust settings)

#2 - with this big autothurst fluctuation the dashed stall speed tape is also going nuts up and down sometimes even getting a TOGA LOCK.

#3 - not related with b29. Check the displayed TOGA values right next to the two engine arcs. this value is not achieved. eg. 96.4% written. the arcs indicate only 94.%. This is NOT new with b29.

#4 - really weird is the following: when I turn the CPT PFD brightness poti, the brightness changes but I also command the xfr of PFD and ND. It seems two commands are given by that input. I dont know how the FO side behaves as I have not connected the
    potis on that side yet.

#5 -I am not sure about this one but I are sure we will find the answer: your current engine arcs have the value "zero" on the lower left end. So the green N1 line NEVER goes down to the idle (which would correspond to N1=0). But the lever position goes all the way down to zero. I assume the gauge starts either at a value like 20. So there is no jump of the lever position. Did anybody understand what I just wrote??

I installed over the existing 28 version. It would be interesting if everybody sees these problems.

    Thanks you!!!!!

    Robert

This happens to me too the same way, even before installing B29...

    Hi ,

Thank you for the new version. I have downloaded over the previous version, once airborne the rudder keeps swinging left and right .

    Re: A320 FMGS beta 29

    Hi,

@Leonidas: when are the sounds playing, when you start sound module or the FMGS server?

    @Rob:
-GND SPLRs:can you re declare the inputs buttons for arming and disarming the splrs? (I do no know which I/O you use)
-ATHR:which FS version do you use?
-TOGA N1: under what conditions is this happening? (temperature, altitude, etc)
-PFD is automatically xfred when brightness potentiometer is OFF.
-I'm almost sure the N1 gauge starts at 0. the problem with idle is that it changes according to OAT and pressure. So it fluctuates throughout the flight. If you can find a video on youtube which shows the behaviour I'm interested.

@Mike:which FS version do you use?

    best regards,
    JL
