Now without changing anything it works, but without EWD and SD as I wrote in #241 just after the first live update of B28.3. On that client a message says: "Windows socket error: An attempt was made to perform an operation on element that is not a socket 10038, on API 'getpeername'"

    Re: A320 FMGS beta 28

    Hi AirFan,
Let me see if someone that i know is on the jumpseat and able to make the video for you.. (during Landing and Takeoff we shoud have the attention for the plane)
Company procedure is to display the engine page during landing (Go around) but shortly before we completly stop i can switch to wheel page.
The sensors are have a quick response and i observed already temperaturs of 400+ degrees.
Yes it should be depends on weight but i dont realized it really, rather on Auto brake setting.

    Re: A320 FMGS beta 28

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for your reply. Thanks for you offer but I assume it would be way better to really see the temps of the wheels from the point of touchdown. I am not only interested in absolute values but the gradient of the temperatures corresponding to time. So your video could provide some information about the cooling down phase.
I will also try to get a video of the Wheel page from a full flight sim and then try to think of a pausible, good matching equation.

    Regards from Ingolstadt.

    Hi to all
After the most reliable version (for me at least) B.28.3 I decided to make a short video as a "thanks" to JL.
    This is: Project progress Feb.2013

    Re: A320 FMGS beta 28

    Hi all,

Lot of activity on the thread, I hope I haven't forgot anyone...

    @Chris:
-Thanks for the info on the Oil system, I really wonder why I could not find it in the FCOM?? Only reference I could find:
"The indication pulses when oil quantity goes below three (3) quarts (decreasing) or above five (5) quarts (increasing)." ....
-Concerning managed modes: on the ground, they should always be available. What THR LVR setting do you use for takeoff, TOGA or FLX? Anyway, do you get a white box MAN TOGA or MAN FLX on the FMA? if not (can happen if hardware THR LVR are not calibrated correctly), the TakeOff mode doesn't engage and you stay stuck in preflight phase...
-Reroute: do you divert from FPLN LAT revision pages?
-ILS bars: maybe related to your managed mode issues, I need to check that.

@Rob: if the PFD shows the correct path, the AP should follow that path, and you don't have anything else to change. There can be a small offset, usually when you're still far from the RWY(but it gets corrected rather quickly) OR if you intercept really close to the RWY and it does not have time to correct.

@Rob+Chris:indeed I'm interested in real data for brakes temps... (and any other systems that are not really detailed in the FCOM...)

    @Guenther: interesting, I'll look at that !

@Leonidas: so for now everything works but on the EWD/SD computer?? did you try to manually close/re-launch WideFMGS on that computer (while it still runs on the server)?

    Cheers,
    JL

    Hi JL,

as for the oil indication, I digged a bit in the AMM and I could find following information, maybe they are of help for you:

    Normal oil consumption rate
During a normal engine operation, the normal oil consumption rate is
    not expected to exceed 0.15 USgal.h (0.57 l.h) (approximately 0.6
quart.hr) (see note). This provides a minimum engine autonomy of
    almost 17 hours.

    (2) Maximum oil consumption rate
The maximum oil consumption rate during engine operation is limited
    to 0.40 USgal.h (1.51 l.h) (approximately 1.6 quarts.hr) (see note):
This provides a minimum engine autonomy of 6 hours.

    Oil Quantity Indication
    There are two possible indications:
    - One visual indication, given by the oil level sight gage on the tank.
    - One remote indication, given by the oil quantity transmitter (installed
on the oil tank) which sends an electrical signal of the oil quantity
to the ECAM system via the EIU. The indicating range is up to 5.50
    USgal (20.81 l).

    INDICATING - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
    1 . General
    (Ref. Fig. 001, 002, 003, 004)
Oil system monitoring is performed by means of :
    - indications :
    oil quantity (quarts)
    oil temperature (degree celsius)
    oil pressure (PSI)
oil filter clogging (OIL FILTER CLOG).
These indications are displayed on the lower display unit of the ECAM system
(main instrument panel) except the Master Chip Detector that gives a pop out
information through its indicator in the fan compartment

    Transmitter specification :
Output voltage : 1VDC to 9VDC varying linearly with true oil quantity
    from 0 to 5.45 USgal (0 - 20.62 l)

    Scale :
The oil quantity displayed in green on the display unit of the ECAM
    system is graduated :
    from 0 to 5.50 USgal (0 - 20.81 l)
    - Advisory level
The oil quantity flashes green when the oil level quantity is lower
than 3 quarts (decreasing) and stops pulsing at 5 quarts (increasing).

    best regards

    Dennis

    JL
Not the EWD/SD computer actually, because the backup instruments work. Just EWD and SD monitors. I tried manually restart wideFMGS as you said, without any change. Do you think I should uninstall and reinstall that client? By the way: how could I save configuration from a) FMGSconfig, b) IITcreator and c) position and size of instruments, before uninstalling?
    Regards

I do not think uninstalling/reinstalling will change anything. If you do so, by uninstalling it should keep the config files on the harddrive, and installing again will not overwrite them. Just in case, the files you need to save are:
    - FMGS Server folder: AControls.cfg and JOYSW.cfg
    - Hardware Modules folder: IIT.dnt
    - EWD folder: configEWD.cfg
    - SD folder: configSD.cfg

After uninstalling/reinstalling nothing changed indeed. Same message about socket 10038 and there is no StarterFSX, only Starter, even after live update...

    Re: A320 FMGS beta 28

On a remote computer there is no need for a differentiated starter, so it's normal.

I'm looking at it tonight, hopefully I can find what's wrong with EWD and SD.
