    Re: FMGS beta6

    Hi Jean-Luc and everyone else,

i am experimenting on a setup with FS9, vasFMC and your A320 systems. At this moment I would like to go with vasFMC for the PFD+ND and use your FMGC for both ECAMs.
But when i have vasFMC and the FMGC Server running at the same time, they start to fight about the flight director.
On the ground, vasFMC switches it off and the FMGC server turns it on again. This happens 2-3 times per second and really wrecks up performance.

Since your simulation doesn't even utilize the FS9-FD, would it be possible for you to release it so the two can coexist in peace?
Or has anyone else here already solved this problem?

    Regards,
    Nils

    Hello Nils,

Even if I removed the problem with the FD, you would probably encounter other compatibility issues between VASfmc and my FMGS server.
Since I dratsically changed the AP module for the next version, I'll see if the FD problem can be solved, but you'll have to wait a little bit for next version to test (I expect the next versions in a month, maybe less, probably more...).

    Hello again,

I was wondering if the software can run with OPENCOCKPIT software, such as the MCDU or radios? Many thanks!

I'm using the OC MCDU and it works fine with Jeehell's FMGS.

Key presses are sent via IOCP to SIOC. SIOC reads out the defined variable and sends corresponding FSUIPC offsets to control FMGS.

    Re: FMGS beta6

    Hi,

So I know have the chance toinstall FMGS on FS9, but I have a basic question regarding installation. After reading the pdf, I've installed the whole 6.2 version like so: FS9/A320FMGS_B6 I also changed the aircraft.cfg, but don't really know how to assign this panel to an airplane (I mostly use project airbus ones)

    Many thanks for the help

    Re: FMGS beta6

This is not a panel, this is a homecockpit software You can display PFD, ND and ECAM on external screens with it.

Btw, Jeehell, would it be possible to program a dummy APU for FS9? FMGS should recognize if it's running on FS9 or FSX and in case that it's running on FS9 there should be a dummy function of APU (startup, elec. power, bleed air). Because of my FS9 I cannot use the APU in your FMGS but it would be great if you can implement it in the way that FMGS simulates an APU

Looking forward for the upcoming version

    Re: FMGS beta6

    Hello Kikigey89,

First thank you for answering other people faster than me
As for the APU in FS9, yes I will do it, maybe not in the next version, as I do have currently a lot of work with the VNAV which has taken loooonnnng weeks, and will take some more before any release, so I do not wat to postpone the release too much.
But definitely in the version after that.

As a teaser, I've already done the climb profile calculation with fuel comsuption and ETE. Just need to adjust it with SPD/ALT constraints, then do it for CRZ and descent (and if you're all nice and quiet, I'll even take the wind profile into account in the calculations, but it'll probably be for another version)

Great Take your time, your support and work is really great, that's the reason why I told goodbye to vasFMC
I know from my own FS software (Live!Flight) how much time programming takes
